Reducing Harm in a Broken World: Our Heart Behind Divorce Representation

At Koth Gregory & Nieminski, we do not take divorce lightly. We never celebrate it. We never trivialize it. Scripture could not be more clear about God’s design for marriage—or His grief over the destruction it causes. Jesus teaches that marriage is meant to be lifelong, faithful, and unifying—not disposable or transactional. The staff at KGN know that behind every divorce case is a family—often hurting, often confused, often afraid. Divorce is hard. We live in a broken world.

We feel called to represent divorce and family law clients because the same Bible that reveals God’s perfect design for marriage also acknowledges human sin, hardness of heart, injustice, abuse, and the need for protection, wisdom, and peace when a covenant has been fractured.

We know divorce happens. Our values shape how we counsel. Although there is never a perfect or desirable outcome in any divorce, if our involvement can reduce harm, protect children, limit unnecessary conflict and expense, and leave open a path—however narrow—for healing or reconciliation, then we believe that work is worth doing.

We fight for what is fair and just without sitting in a place of judgment. We want our clients to feel comfortable and cared for regardless of whether or not they share our beliefs. Everyone that walks through our doors can expect to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

The attorney’s at KGN strive to:

  • Counsel wisely – explaining the law, risks, options, and likely outcomes
  • Advocate powerfully – especially for those facing injustice or danger
  • Speak graciously – refusing to inflame emotions or demonize the other party
  • Work heartily – preparing thoroughly and practicing with excellence
  • Serve sacrificially – putting peace, children, and long-term impact above short-term wins
